Siemens PLM Software has been awarded the 2010 Frost & Sullivan Award for Market Share Leadership in India. The award recognizes the company with the highest revenue among the players in the Indian PLM industry.

“Based on the findings of our Best Practices Research, we are proud to present the 2010 Market Share Leadership Award in product lifecycle management software to Siemens PLM Software India,” says Anand Rangachary, managing director, Frost & Sullivan, South Asia, Middle East and North Africa. “This award is given to the company that has demonstrated excellence in capturing the highest market share within its industry in a specific year. Siemens PLM Software’s significant presence in the automotive, aerospace and defense, and machinery industries has been a key business driver.”

The recipient of this award is evaluated on specific pre-defined criteria. Coupled with primary and secondary research methods, all competitors’ market revenues are tracked and the company that emerges with the highest proportion of market share is a candidate for the Frost & Sullivan Award for Market Share Leadership.

The Frost & Sullivan citation noted that the Siemens PLM Software’s suite encompassing NX software for digital product development, Teamcenter software for digital lifecycle management, Tecnomatix software for digital manufacturing and the Velocity Series portfolio for the mainstream PLM market, provides a set of design tools, digital data management solutions and advanced digital manufacturing capabilities distinct from other PLM vendors. Siemens PLM Software’s product portfolio also incorporates a dedicated set of products addressing the mid-market PLM segment.
