3D version of JMAG-Studio 3D offers direct links with SolidWorks.

JMAG-Studio electromagnetics design software.
JMAG-Studio is an electromagnetic field analysis software package developed by The Japan Research Institute and available from the Motorsoft division of Fisher Electric Technology Inc. (Lebanon, OH). JMAG supports the design and development of motors, actuators, circuit components, antennas and other electric and electronic products, such as sensors, and electro-permanent devices.

JMAG solves both 2D and 3D static and transient problems, and it outputs magnetic flux, magnetic flux density, electromagnetic force, torque, stored energy, magnetic field, current density, loss, current, impedance, and voltage. The 3D version of JMAG offers direct linkage with SolidWorks. Other features include control circuit simulator linked functions, parametric and sound field analysis functions, and a dedicated motor analysis tool.

The JMAG circuit editor offers a range of circuit elements, including resistors, coils, capacitors, diodes, and brushes, all of which couple with magnetic field analysis. The program's automatic mesh function generates the optimal mesh for your analyses.
