September 20, 2007 — QLogic Corp. (Aliso Viejo, CA) announced the availability of its storage networking solutions for the new HP BladeSystem c3000 blade enclosure.

QLogic HBAs for BladeSystem c-Class servers are designed to deliver high performance, data reliability, and high scalability. The company’s QMH2462, engineered specifically for the HP BladeSystem servers, is a dual-port, 4Gb Fibre Channel mezzanine card that offers HP BladeSystem c-Class customers high performance for their storage applications with an I/O transfer rate of up to 150,000 IOPs per port.

The QMH2462 Fibre Channel mezzanine card also provides enhanced data reliability by using overlapping protection domains for continuous protection of internal data paths. In addition, the mezzanine card is virtualization-ready, providing a high level of scalability by allowing physical ports to be part of multiple logical networks.
