In a recent edition I praised Sun Microsystems, Inc. (Santa Clara, CA) for always trying to push the envelope. And when it comes to open source, the Santa Clara-based company is no slouch. A few years ago Sun put Solaris in the public domain with OpenSolaris. Now it is doing exactly the same thing with its Solaris Cluster, source code for which can be found on the OpenSolaris website.
