SYCODE has launched Mesh To Solid for Bricscad, a plug-in that gives Bricscad the ability to convert polygon mesh objects to 3D solids.

With the plug-in, users of Bricscad can convert polyface mesh, polygon mesh, and 3D face objects into ACIS 3D solid entities. They can then use the solid editing tools of Bricscad Professional to perform 3D solid modeling operations like boolean union, subtraction and intersection operations, shelling, extrusion, and more.

Mesh To Solid for Bricscad is designed to work with the Professional as well as Classic version of Bricscad v.8 and v.9, even though the Classic version does not have solid editing capabilities. Priced at $195 the plug-in is available as a fully functional 10-day trial. It comes with an installer and documentation.
