With the release of the new Elo TouchSystems 1900L and 2200L high-resolution LCD touch monitors, Tyco Electronics’  (Harrisburg, PA) Elo TouchSystems 1900L and 2200L are the first zero-bezel wide-aspect ratio touchmonitors with a 100-percent useable surface area. The zero-bezel design removes the frame, or bezel, of standard monitors to create a seamless glass surface designed to showcase the wide-screen, high-definition experience that today’s consumers have come to expect from all forms of video.

Combining Elo TouchSystems Acoustic Pulse Recognition (APR) touch technology (also available in IntelliTouch surface acoustic wave technology) with a seamless screen, the 1900L and 2200L touchmonitors are designed for use in high-traffic retail, hospitality, and other public environments.

Because APR technology works by recognizing the sound created when the monitor’s surface is touched, users can interact with the touchscreens in the new 1900L and 2200L touchmonitors with any kind of stylus — from a fingertip to the edge of a credit card. Both monitors are also said to provide zero-drift performance and never require recalibration, ensuring a long, low-maintenance functional life.

The seamless glass surface provides optical quality, durability, and stability, as well as excellent dragging properties. The easy-to-clean screen is resistant to water, dust, and grease, and its built-in, downward-facing speakers provide robust audio quality in a space-saving form factor.

The adjustable stand offers broad installation flexibility, and can be mounted on a desktop or wall for environments where space is limited. Dual independent hinges on the desk mount accommodate a variety of height requirements.

With bottom-mounted features like integrated VGA and DVI (Standard European models without DVI) video-input ports, touch-interface USB (APR) and serial jacks,  AC-DC power and audio headphone jacks are virtually invisible to users.
