BobCAD-CAM (Dunedin, FL) will unveil Version 22 of its BobCAD-CAM 2D/3DCAD-CAM system at IMTS 2006 in Chicago, September 6 - 13. According tothe company, V22 has been “rebuilt from the ground up” and offers thelargest number of improvements the company has ever produced in anupgrade.

Among the enhancements cited by the company are a new user-friendlyinterface, a fully associative job tree for managing jobs from start tofinish, and user-definable operation sequences. V22 also offerscomplete tool and material libraries as well as pre-definable compositeoperation sets.

The new job tree offers capabilities for reordering operations orturning operations on or off as needed when posting to the machine. 3Dtoolpath for models in V22 now include an equidistant offset contourtoolpath operation that allows you to maintain an equal tool stepregardless of surface topology. Also new are automatic Waterline-Zlevel roughing and finishing toolpath operations as well as newadvanced simulation and verification and DNC technology.
