North American technology solutions provider Vology has acquired a division of Govplace, a value added reseller for the government.

Govplace's California division is a solution provider serving state, local government and education customers in California, a company press release states. This acquisition adds a second physical location for Vology in California and enhances its overall managed services capabilities, specifically enterprise storage platforms.

"The acquisition of Govplace's Irvine division is a key building block in Vology's three year growth strategy that includes investment in key geographies. California is Vology's second largest market and one of its fastest growing," says Barry Shevlin, CEO. "The acquisition ensures our ability to offer critical support and services to customers with the speed and responsiveness that has become one of our key value propositions as the nation's only Hybrid SuperVAR."
