When Garrad Hassan (GH; Bristol, UK)  released the new version 3.6 of its wind farm design software, GH WindFarmer,  it added high-quality global support through its availability in 10 languages. Plus, this new version provides a detailed uncertainty analysis, expanded site conditions analysis, and self-learning tutorials; it runs Windows Vista and 64-Bit Windows XP/Vista.

Version 3.6 of GH WindFarmer enables users to carry out a complete uncertainty calculation with standard deviations, historical and future uncertainties, and exceedance levels for the net energy yield.

Users can compare turbine design parameters with estimates of Design Equivalent Turbulence — now also according to new options (large wind farm turbulence, alternative view angle). Users can create a turbine ranking table as part of the site conditions report to rapidly identify the worst affected turbines or use the new option for masked wind resource grids. Plus,  user-defined rotor orientation enables detailed shadow flicker calculation.

GH WindFarmer can be learned using self-learning tutorials for the Base and Visualisation Modules.
