March 3, 2016

Wubby, a platform for the Internet of Things and Smart Home, has launched a new device-level software platform for product development. It is able to separate hardware from software and support Python code.

According to a company press release, the core of Wubby is the Wubby VM that runs a device's microcontroller. Wubby VM is accompanied by:

  • The Wubby IDE platform agnostic development environment for configuration, debugging and simulation.
  • The Wubby Cloud collection for application deployment and backend device management.
  • The Wubby client tool for user interaction.
“With years of successful experience developing products for the IoT market, we believe we have solved many of the problems that limit the IoT vision from being fully realized,” says Dimitris Leonardos, CEO of Wubby. “Wubby lets everyday objects quickly connect to each other by infusing them with intelligence, while making the whole process EASY. Conventional ways seem to not work - this is why we invented Wubby.”
