Additive Innovation (AI) unveils a new 3D printing service with free texture generation. By using the 3D printing software 4D_Additive from CoreTechnologie, texture patterns from Substance and HP as well as VDI 3400 are available to improve the look of 3D printed parts.

3D Contours in Seconds

Together with AI experts, customers choose texture patterns for their components. With 4D_Additive software, the desired textures become visible as 3D contours on the model within a few seconds and can be printed directly. After submitting the 3D data in any major format and approving the print quotation, the textures are generated for free as part of the print job.

Lattice for Lightweight Construction

About 20 patterns are available for creating lattice structures, ranging from honeycomb and gyroid to bionic structures. The lattice function of the 4D_Additive software generates complex lattices on the component in seconds as internal or external structures. The application is intended to be useful in 3D printing processes for lightweight construction and damping.

Automated Repair of 3D Scans

Scans from a Keyence scanner can be automatically healed and converted into watertight volumes in seconds if required and printed immediately. Typical repair of scanned STL data is no longer necessary. Thanks to the automated repair, the data is immediately available for 3D printing.

Components in PA 12 and TPU

Additive Innovation's machine park includes HP Multijet Fusion printers for PA 12 material. A Weirather WLS 3232 is used to print TPU-02-BK from AM Polymers with a print density of up to 5 bar.

Using lattice structures and textures, the 4D_Additive software enables creation of components with damping properties. As a spin-off of CoreTechnologie, the 3D printing service provider Additive Innovation can use expertise in 3D data repair for the generation of lattice structures and the creation of textures.
