Agilent Introduces Impendance Analyzers

May 16, 2014

Agilent Technologies has released the Agilent E4990A and E4991B impendance analyzers for R&D, quality assurance and evaluating passive electronic components, semiconductor devices and materials.

These analyzers are the only instruments on the market with accuracy to evaluate components from mohm to Mohm over a 20Hz to 3GHz range, the company states.

The E4990A has a frequency rang of 20 Hz up to 120 MHz, and the E4991B has a range of 1 MHz to 500 MHz, 1 GHz or 3GHz. Other features include a compact body, 10.4 inch color LCD touch screen with multiple-setting functions for simultaneous evaluation. Both analyzers also include equivalent circuit-analysis function that supports seven different multi-parameter models and allows users to simulate equivalent values for components.

“The accuracy and analysis functions of our new E4990A and E4991B impedance analyzers far exceed that of currently available, comparable industry-standard instruments, and help engineers achieve real characteristics of high-quality devices, materials and components,” said Akira Nukiyama, vice president and general manager of Agilent’s Component Test Division.
