Agilent Will Purchase Centellax’s Test and Measurement Business

Agilent Technologies and Centellax have signed a definitive agreement for Agilent to acquire the assets of Centellaxs test and measurement business. Centellax, a privately held company, designs and manufactures technology and products such as bit-error ratio testers and signal generators used for testing high-speed digital communication systems and components.
 
The acquisition, subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to be completed in in May. Financial details were not disclosed.

According to the company, the acquisition will help Centellaxs and Agilents customers to obtain comprehensive insight into their high-speed devices with a full spectrum of test solutions. Centellaxs test and measurement business augments Agilents current position and ongoing investments to cover all requirements in digital I/O and optical transceiver test from deep characterization in R&D to cost-effective test in manufacturing up to 32G and beyond.
