Altium Releases Next Generation Vault for Collaboration

By DE Editors

June 26, 2014

Altium Limited, a provider in Smart System Design Automation, has released its newest data management and collaboration platform, Altium Vault 2.0. This provides a platform for centralization, management and formalization of component libraries for design data and team collaboration. With the Altium Vault 2.0, teams can have access to:
  • A centralized, shared location to manage organization components and supply chain data.
  • Managed copies of all templates, reference and current designs, complete with precise change information, vision and revision history.
  • The ability to collaborate on projects across all design domains and co-design in real-time on the same printed circuit board (PCB).
  • Design environment infrastructure management tools for IT departments.
The Vault is available in three editions: Component, Workgroup and Enterprise for various design teams' needs. It can be purchased through Altium sales offices and authorized retailers.

"Designing and maintaining engineering data demands rigor and reliability, but it should not create an administrative burden," said Jason Hingston, chief technology officer, for Altium. "Our development focus for this release is around collaboration and productivity — making the next generation of the Altium Vault the natural choice for design library, data and collaboration management.”
