The newly released "Best Practice Guidelines on CAD for Simulation" from CD-adapco (London and New York) directs users on how to optimize their flow and thermal simulation with CAD.

The CAE provider offers CAD-embedded flow and thermal solutions for four major CAD packages -- SolidWorks, CATIA V5, Pro/Engineer, and NX -- in their STAR-CAD Series. "Best Practice Guidelines" uses the STAR-CAD Series to demonstrate hints and tips, but they are applicable to any simulation process.

STAR-CAD Series Product Manager, Jean-Claude Ercolanelli, said, "A few simple guidelines on how best to use the CAD tool to focus the simulation on important features can make a significant impact on model turnaround time and productivity."

The guides are available for free by clicking here.
