Partners CONTACT Software and T-Systems are developing an integration for data exchange between Catia V6 and CONTACT’s PLM system CIM Database, enabling companies to link their system landscape.
The integration enables designers to synchronize CAD data with CIM Database. In the PLM system, it is centrally available to all stakeholders involved and can be linked with other product and project information. This improves cross-departmental collaboration and accelerates processes but also prevents errors caused by working with outdated CAD data. The solution expands T-Systems’ XCI product family and will be made available to CONTACT customers in 2026.
This joint development marks the next phase of the long-standing partnership between CONTACT and T-Systems. Both companies have been active in the Code of PLM Openness for years. “We share the same philosophy and believe that companies can only become future-proof with open digital ecosystems,” says Steffen Bernhardt, vice president Business Unit PLM at T-Systems. “The joint development of the Catia V6 integration is an important step in this direction.”
“With T-Systems, we have a partner at our side who has repeatedly proven their expertise in developing such integrations. Our customers will soon benefit from this experience in the form of a Catia V6 integration that is ready to use out of the box,” says Frank Patz-Brockmann, chief product officer at CONTACT Software.
