If you’re running a big application, the last thing you want is a big fat OS standing in your way. Vista is one of the bigger culprits. Fortunately help is on the way. vLite is a free new tool that can remove components, largely built for consumers, that may be slowing your engineering app down. Don’t need Media Player or audio drivers? Get rid of ‘em. There’s even a version for XP.
