BOXX Technologies makes available the APEXX A3 compact tower form factor workstations running the new AMD Ryzen 7000 family of CPUs. These workstations are designed for deployment where space is at a premium but there is a need for powerful 3D design and rendering.

The new generation of AMD Ryzen CPUs have been tested with all-core workloads at 12 and 16 cores running at 5.7GHz. BOXX estimates the typical upgrade purchase will get a “generational frequency” uplift of between 600 and 800MHz.

The motherboard design for the Ryzen 7000 series (Socket AM5) means support for 24 usable PCIe 5.0 lanes for storage and graphics workflow. APEXX A3 can be ordered with up to two Type C rear ports running 40Gbps, five Type A rear ports running 10Gbps and three Type A rear ports running 5Gbps.

The company says combining one of these new APEXX A3 workstation with an NVIDIA RTX GPU for real-time visualization creates a state-of-the-art workstation for the most demanding 3D Design tasks. A total of 128GB of DDR5 memory is optional, and current generation NVME SSDs in various sizes are available for storage. The power supply is an ample 750W.

The APEXX A3 offers 6E Wi-Fi support and up to eight display connections from add-in video cards as well as 2 (two) from the Ryzen 7000 integrated graphics capabilities. BOXX says this workstation uses closed-loop liquid cooling and air cooling to ensure optimal performance.

BOXX says the APEXX A3 with AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs is now available to order. For more information, click here.
