As of February 2020, Eurocom offers power users even greater storage capacity with the 4 TB M.2 Sabrent Rocket NVMe SSD available in its Sky C-series Mobile Supercomputers, Tornado-series Mobile Workstations, Nightsky-series Superlaptops and its Enterprise-level laptops. This pushes the storage of Eurocom’s high-performance laptops up to 28 TB of total storage space, reporting setting the world record for base internal storage in consumer-level laptops via five physical drives (3x M.2 slots + 2x SATA 3 slots), according to Eurocom.

Besides a large increase in physical storage capacity, the 4TB M.2 Sabrent NVMe SSD offers fast read and write speeds. NVMe SSD’s offer about 3,500 MB/s read speeds and about 3,000 MB/s write speeds. NVMe SSDs also reportedly have build quality to ensure a longer lifespan and offer much higher reliability than non-NVMe storage.

This considerable difference in read and write speeds are ideal for power users who work with massive amounts of data and have little room for error when it comes to their critical data being transferred and stored. These power users include, but are not limited to: IT professionals such as network managers and IT architects, software designers/engineers who want to reduce their transfer and render times, professional gamers who want to fully-optimize their computing experience, and many more. If a user is working with a large amount of data, an NVMe SSD is the solution for those looking to greatly improve transfer/render times while considerably reducing the risk of losing important data.

Along with improved storage, Eurocom offers eight cores, 16-thread CPUs as well as up to 128 GB of RAM to achieve high performance in a laptop form factor. The new SSD option add more choices to the already limitless possibilities when customizing a Eurocom laptop.
