The Eurocom Panther 5 has passed the 8 TB storage barrier in a notebook with four Samsung Spinpoint M9T 2 TB storage drives. The Panther 5 is developed to be ideal for simulation, ray trace rendering, mobile analytics, CAD, CAE, server operations, software development and more.

The Panther 5 offers dual MXM 3.0b graphics, 32GB DDR3-1600 memory, Intel Xeon and Core i7 desktop processors. For security, it is equipped with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2, fingerprint reader and Kensington lock port.

Samsung's Spinpoint M9T 2 TB hard drive ships with 32 MB DRAM cache, low acoustics and power requirements. This, the company states, offers high performance, energy efficient operation for longer battery life. The M9T combines the highest areal density in a single storage device, allowing it to fit into a 9.5 mm chassis and the Panther 5.
