The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) has announced its final schedule of events for the 27th annual Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) from July 25-29, 2011, at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel and Spa in Phoenix, AZ.

The conference will kick off with its customary Icebreaker event for all attendees and exhibitors on Monday night, July 25. This social networking event is co-sponsored by Hexagon Metrology and the CMS. On Wednesday morning, July 27, the CMS will host a 5 Billion Micron Fun Run/Walk. Attendees should bring their running shoes. Water and T-shirts will be provided for all participants by sponsor InnovMetric. Technical paper presentations and workshops will be held during the day on Tuesday through Thursday.

A full listing of the CMSC 2011 technical presentations and Conference Registration information can be found here.

Four more networking and educational events round out the CMSC Agenda. The Wednesday evening Social Hour is sponsored by ATT Metrology and the Metrologic Group. Following this event, the entire CMSC membership will gather for the CMSC Banquet and Trivia Night on Wednesday evening, July 27, which will culminate in an interactive trivia tournament featuring measurement and pop trivia questions. On Friday, July 29, a Tour of the Boeing Advanced Development Center for Rotorcraft in Mesa, AZ will be conducted. Immediately following the tour will be a community service event held in support of the Mesa United Way.

The CMSC 2011 schedule also includes a 2011 CMS Measurement Study, and workshops including a 3D metrology hardware review, GD&T software as applied to 3D scan data, and an important CMS Certification Committee update. The CMSC Exhibitor Hall featuring more than 45 exhibitors will showcase portable measurement systems (PCMMs), software, accessories, peripherals, and service providers.
