Exact Metrology (Algonquin, IL) acquired Berding 3D Scanning (Cincinnati, OH),  a reverse-engineering and laser scanning service provider. The combined company will operate under the Exact Metrology name to provide inspection, reverse engineering, noncontact laser scanning, and 2D/3D digitizing services. The company will also sell and service test and measurement equipment from Romer,  Leica, Metronor, Breuckmann, Perceptron, and InnovMetric. The acquisition enhances Exact Metrology’s long-range, large-format scanning and digital file preparation capabilities for architecture, civil engineering and surveying applications. Exact Metrology offers customers access to both short-range scanning for product development and long-range scanning for large items such as facility layouts.
