Intelligent Light (Rutherford, NJ) is working with Microsoft ( Redmond, WA)  to expand access to large data-postprocessing capability for CFD and CAE and large data visualization capability by bringing its FieldView products to Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 and Windows HPC Server 2008 systems.

With the goal of expanding access to high-performance computing (HPC) resources for CFD and CAE practitioners worldwide, the collaboration delivers new capabilities for the mid-range technical computing market.

Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 and Windows HPC Server 2008 clusters, which are built to integrate seamlessly with the company’s existing Windows-based environment, integrate with existing infrastructures, are easy to manage and use, and are cost effective to deploy — engineering HPC solutions for small to midsize companies and departments has traditionally been cost prohibitive.
