Aptech Systems(Maple Valley, WA), developers of the GAUSS matrix programming languageand numerical and data analysis environment, recently releasedGAUSSplot. It provides users with a fully functional GUI that allowson-the-fly changes to graphs with the click of a button. GAUSSplotsupports a wide variety of plot types, including x,y line plots, barplots, polar line plots, 2D Cartesian plots, 2D contour plots, 3DCartesian plots (with the ability to graph 3D surfaces and solids,Gouraud shading, configurable light source intensity and location, andsurface translucency), and 3D contour plots. In addition, GAUSSplotsupports built-in curve-fitting, 3D rotation and animation, and a widevariety of file export types.

It is currently available for Windows (32-bit), Linux (32-bit and AMD64-bit), and Solaris (64-bit). Coming soon for Mac OS X (32-bit) andWindows Itanium 2 (64-bit).
