Geometric introduced its latest CAM software package, CAMWorksXpress. The 2.5D machining CAM package is targeted at programmers and machinists, as well as new users.

CAMWorksXpress runs inside SolidWorks and provides the features required for machining efficiently. The software package also includes other features such as 32- and 64-bit versions; reduced automatic toolpath updates; optimized toolpaths; ability to generate CNC code with a few clicks; importing design models from common file formats such as IGES, SAT, ACIS, etc; automatic feature recognition; a library of post processors for leading CNC controllers and unlimited upgrade paths to CAMWorks.
