Graebert Announces ARES Commander 2015

The platform will be available in November in both 32- and 64-bit versions.

Graebert GmbH, a developer of CAD solutions for desktop and mobile devices, will release its ARES Commander 2015 CAD package in November. The platform is to be available for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems in 32- and 64-bit.

New features in the 2015 version include:

  • ARES Touch for Android: This mobile version syncs files via DropBox or Google Drive via an adapted user interface for touch-based input.
  • LicenseToGo: Enables a product key to activate licensing on another computer without needing to buy a Flex license. The LicenseToGo can be active up to five days with the option for renewal.
  • Dynamic blocks — Grips editing: Allows for editing dynamic blocks inserted in a DWG drawing by other CAD software.
  • 2D Contraints: Adds intelligence to drawing with the new Constraints Design Solver (CDS) from Spatial Corp. The CDS can dynamically update drawings with modifications after constraints have been placed.
  • Advanced in-place text editing: Improves the Notes command with a new Paragraph options dialog to define advanced formatting inside drawings. A new Stack dialogue also helps create fractions and tolerances in text.
  • Dimension palette: Simplifies editing dimensions. Users can select a dimension and quickly change its formatting and properties.
Additionally, several plug-ins will be available to use with ARES Commander. These include OnlineMaps from Esri and Cadenas parts.

“ARES Commander 2015 is by far the most feature-rich software solution we’ve ever issued,” said Wilfried Graebert, founder and CEO and Graebert GmbH. “We are very excited not only by this announcement, but also ARES Touch 2015, ARES Mechanical and our new plugins for DraftSight — 2015 will see Graebert further extending its lead as a world-class CAD provider.”
