Granta Design Releases GRANTA MI 8.1

By DE Editors

July 15, 2015

Granta Design has updated its GRANTA MI system for enterprise materials information management. Version 8.1, the company states enables users to access data twice as fast with major performance, deployment and functional enhancements.

For speed, GRANTA MI has faster load times for material property data sheets, improved import times and quicker automatic data linking.

User management updates now offer flexibility in controlling access to data through a built-in app for Windows.

Also included in this release are database updates. With version 8.1, users can simplify the workflow required to manage a rapidly-changing database.

In addition to GRANTA MI, the company has also continued its work with industry consortiums. These collaborations are focused on materials information technology and regulatory practices. The latest innovations will be discussed next month at the Material Data Management Consortium.

“We’re pleased to be able to deliver faster performance and improved features for practical enterprise materials information management, based on close collaboration with our customers,” says Patrick Coulter, chief operating officer at Granta Design. “One pleasing feature of this announcement is that it uses improved technology and processes to deliver such enhancements to customers quickly, without the need for a major software release or for significant IT resources from our customers.”
