GTX Corporation (Scottsdale, AZ) has improved its GTXImage CAD, Version 8 series products, which bring legacy paper drawings into CAD-EDM-GIS environments.

Based on the AutoCAD OEM engine, the new software includes performance improvements and full compatibility with the AutoCAD 2004/2005 DWG environment.

The GTXImage CAD Series, Version 8.8 product line now allows for reduction and separation of scanned color and grayscale drawings, maps, and other color digital images. Version 8.8 makes it possible to reduce color or grayscale files from a range up to 16 million colors down to a range between 256 and four colors, or even black-and-white images.

This release includes image enhancement and clean up tools as well as raster and hybrid editing, raster-to-vector conversion, and intelligent character recognition.

The Version 8.8 Series consists of the following products: GTXImage CAD V8.8 and GTXImage CAD Plus V8.8. For more information, visit gtx.com.
