Highlights of this release include support for 3D and 2D models, creation of PDFs from models, standardization of DOD Model Based Definition standards, and access to data on any computer at any time.
The software also does not require a CAD license to view, balloon and extract inspection data for reporting. It currently offers support for CATIA, V5 and V6 as well as DGW files. The company states it plans to add options for NX, Creo/ProEngineering, Solid Edge and more within the coming months.
“InspectionXpert OnDemand is the simplest and fastest way to generate quality inspection forms and ballooned inspection drawings or MBD inspection models,” said Jeff Cope, CEO. “We’ve purpose-built InspectionXpert OnDemand for CAD from the ground up to be used on any computer, at any time, without manual installation and eliminating the cost of expensive CAD software licenses. This is a tool all manufacturers can integrate easily and quickly into their quality inspection process; saving time, money and increasing quality.”
