Designed for the production of extra-large, high-definition “Pro Parts” for prototyping and end use is the recently announced iPro 9000 XL SLA Center from 3D Systems Corporation (Rock Hill, SC).

The iPro 9000 XL SLA Precision Center boasts the ability to deliver parts up to 60-inches long and is suitable for applications requiring large, single-piece parts. It has an extra-large build platform (59 x 30 x 22 in. or 1500 x 750 x 550 mm.). The iPro 9000 XL promises to deliver a complete part with no seams.

Third in the lineup of recently introduced modular iPro 9000 SLA Centers, the iPro 9000 XL SLA Center adds a third platform configuration option to the current single and dual Resin Delivery Modules (RDM). Durable plastic parts can be produced economically and rapidly using the iPro family of Precision Centers family of integrated Accura Plastics. The SLA Centers also feature 3D Systems’ proprietary ProScan digital scanning system that is equipped with a new SteadyPower Imager.

The iPro 9000 XL SLA Center will be demonstrated at the 3D Systems World Conference, to be held from October 20-23, 2008, in Charlotte, NC/Rock Hill, SC. Commercial shipments of this system should begin during the fourth quarter of 2008.
