Keysight Technologies Releases Pulse Amplitude Modulation Analysis Platform

By DE Editors

March 25, 2015

Keysight Technologies has launched a new measurement software designed to help engineers analyze pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) signals using the V-series, Z-series and S-series oscilloscope platforms. The software offers measurements such as eye width, height and skew, as well as level amplitude, noise and skew.

The platform is also able to be combined with the Infiniium suite of applications for analysis capabilities regarding embedding and de-embedding of PAM-4 channels, jitter and amplitude on IEEE JPO3 patterns.

“Our customers face many new design and measurement challenges as they make the switch from NRZ to PAM-4 signaling,” said Dave Cipriani, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s Oscilloscope and Protocol Division. “By delivering both analysis and debug capabilities for PAM-4 signals, our latest PAM-4 analysis software for our real-time oscilloscopes helps engineers address these challenges and quickly get their designs to market.”
