Laird Offers Solutions for Integration of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Connectivity

Both modules offer connectivity integration for original equipment manufacturers.

Global technology company Laird has launched its 45 Series Wi-Fi and BT830 Bluetooth v4.0 UART HCI (host controller interface) modules. Both solutions support applications such as AIDC (automatic identification and data capture) devices, medical devices, barcode scanners and M2M connectivity.

While either module can be used as a stand alone solution, together they provide wireless integration of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for enterprise and industrial applications, the company states. The bundled solution also allows OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) to expand offerings while giving customers reliable connectivity and security.

The 45 Series modules support Embedded Windows, Linux and Android platforms. The BT830 Series strengthen Laird’s Dual mode BTv4.0 HCI module portfolio and reduces time to market for OEMs.

“Whether taking these modules as standalone wireless options or as a fully validated bundle solution, the logistics and industrial markets will benefit through a stable multi-wireless environment with extensive driver and integration support spanning virtually every major operating system,” said Jonathan Kaye, product director at Laird.
