LMS(Leuven, Belgium) has a series of new offerings for noise and vibrationtesting and engineering. The LMS SCADAS family has been extended with anew LMS SCADAS Mobile series of mobile and ultra-portable dataacquisition front-ends. LMS also says that it has strengthened its offerings in theareas of qualification and troubleshooting testing with LMSTest.Xpress, a sound and vibration analyzer and data recording solutionbased on the new LMS SCADAS Mobile front-end.

LMS says the new SCADAS Mobile front-ends have the quality andacquisition power of the larger LMS SCADAS system in a compact design, offering data-acquisition and signal-conditioning capabilities.Designed for high measurement and testing productivity, LMS SCADASMobile provides up to 102.4 kHz sampling rate per channel, 24-bitresolution, 105 dB signal-to-noise ratio, and a throughput rate thatexceeds 2.2 Msps. The LMS SCADAS Mobile SCM05 system offers a modularfront-end that accommodates up to 40 channels in a laptop-sized unit. For users who prefer a smaller channel count unit, LMS also introducedthe LMS SCADAS Mobile SCM01, which hosts 4 to 8 channels and provideseasy portability.

According to a press release on the offerings, the new LMS SCADASMobile front-ends are joined by LMS Test.Xpress, a sound and vibrationanalyzer. LMS Test.Xpress runs on the same LMS SCADAS Mobile front-endand offers a compact and lightweight analyzer solution. Its real-timecapabilities allow users to perform FFT, order, and octave analysiswith sound level meter functionalities in a single measurement run. LMSTest.Xpress shows the analysis results on screen instantaneously, whilesaving the high-sampled time data on disk. LMS Test.Xpress is fullyinteroperable with the LMS Test.Lab suite for advanced postprocessingof test data.

Through its tight integration with the new SCADAS Mobile front-end, LMSTest.Lab strengthens its capabilities for test-based modeling andrefinement. LMS says the new LMS Test.Lab Mobile solution combines thehigh-speed data acquisition and integrated analysis tools of LMSTest.Lab with a solution package that is fully adapted to the specificneeds of mobile testing.
