Harmonic Software Inc. (Breckenridge, CO) says that version 6 of its O-Matrix software for matrix computation has expanded statistics capabilities and better performance execution than earlier versions. Additionally, the company says that many new functions have been added for descriptive statistics, random number generators, probability density functions, and cumulative distribution functions.

O-Matrix 6 also provides the most significant performance enhancementsof any release to date, says the company, adding that most the software's functions, operators, and language constructs were updated to provide optimal performance. The company asserts that O-Matrix performance now "far" exceeds typical interactive math environments and often rivals applications implemented in traditional compiled languages such as C++ and FORTRAN.

O-Matrix Version 6 is priced at $365. Academic, government, and upgrade discounts are available. To register for a fully functional, but time-limited evaulation version of O-Matrix, click here.
