A beta version of VRMesh Studio v4.0 from Virtual Grid is now available for public testing. The software is designed for reverse modeling and rapid mesh modeling. The new version includes a set of tools for smoothing, decimating, merging, and marking point clouds. A new mesh editing command glues two objects into a watertight model. New mark commands, such as mark contour region, mark visible region, fit marked region to primitive, and fit marked region to target, provide additional options for editing a local region on a surface. Also new are clay commands such as stamp texture, scratch brush, tail brush, and deform by widgets. Brush commands in the clay toolset now respond in real time. Click here for a screencast demonstration of the new clay capabilities. Virtual Grid is also offering a $100 discount on preorders of VRMesh Studio v4.0. Regular price is $895.
