Round Solutions' Micro Antenna for GSM and UMTS.

At 21 mm long, 7 mm wide, by 3.2 mm high, a new micro antenna from Round Solutions (London,UK), a company specializing in machine-to-machine applications, is intended for developers of highly miniaturized mobile radio systems. The antennas, which are made from a ceramic material, can be used in all four GSM wavebands and the components can be mounted directly on the PCB, reducing manufacturing time and material costs for high-frequency compatible cables and plug connectors.

Round Solutions also supports developers of prototypes or small series with its ceramic antennas and also provides special guidelines for the integration of its antennas. The new micro antenna is sold under the designation ANT-GXE477 and a starter kit matched to this model is available for test purposes.

Round Solutions supplies products, services, and concepts for industrial users of electronic components, particularly GSM, UMTS, GPS, Bluetooth, ZigBee, WIFI, UWB, and ISM wireless technologies. The company’s product portfolio ranges from starter kits to components for mass production, including a wide range of electronic components, such as radio modules, HF cables, and ultra-sensitive antennas. Round Solutions stocks quad-band, penta-band, and integrated antennas as well as lithium polymer, lithium-ion, and nickel-metal hydride batteries. The company has branches in the UK and Germany.
