ModuleWorks Releases Hybrid Simulation Module

By DE Editors

July 9, 2015

ModuleWorks, a supplier of CAD/CAM components for 3-5-axis toolpath generation and simulation, has added simulation for hybrid additive/subtractive manufacturing applications.

ModuleWorks Simulation enables users to simulate the complete manufacturing process, with stock material addition and removal as well as full kinematic machine simulation.

Below is a video of the simulation in action:

“We’ve seen an increasing number of requests for simulation for the additive manufacturing process from our partners and prospects around the world, so we have engineered our simulation technology to offer this capability. We’re now able to produce a realistic hybrid simulation and the results have been well received by our partners,” says David Plater, technical director for ModuleWorks.
