CoreTech System (Moldex3D)  Co., Ltd., has signed partner agreements with PTC Software and Siemens PLM Software.

At the same time, CoreTech System also announced the immediate availability of Moldex3D eXplorer for NX, its first product integrated with NX software, the digital product development solution from Siemens PLM Software.

“We are pleased to welcome CoreTech System to our partner program,” says Joan Hirsch, vice president of Product Design Solutions, Siemens PLM Software. “NX is widely used throughout the plastic mold industry for part and tool design, and the integration of Moldex3D eXplorer will create additional value for our mutual customers. Its true 3D parallel simulation kernel will further enhance analysis results for complex plastics parts,  especially those with variable wall thickness and complex 3D characteristics.”

The company’s Moldex3D eXplorer for Pro/ENGINEER is a 3D integrated tool for designers to perceive different part design and mold design options during early stage. It seeks to provide a user-friendly interface for CAD users to access Moldex3D’s 3D flow simulation results.

“We’re very glad to have Moldex3D eXplorer as a partner product to support Pro/ENGINNER user community. Most of our users are using Pro/ENGINEER for designing precision parts with complicated wall thickness variations. Moldex3D’s true 3D simulation capabilities will provide much more accurate simulation results,” says Mike Campbell, PTC senior vice president of product management.

Moldex3D eXplorer also announced it is making use of NVIDIA GPU computing technology. CoreTech system has been cooperating with NVIDIA to integrate this technology into its Moldex3D product line to harness this processing power and deliver boosts in performance to its users.

“We are impressed with the computational speed up that we have seen with NVIDIA’s GPUs,” says Dr. David Hsu, vice president R&D of CoreTech System. “For example, in our internal testing, our Solid-WARP solver is able to speed up by 6 to 8 times with a Quadro FX 5800 professional graphics card. It will help our users greatly shorten their computation time, and allow them to analyze bigger models for higher accuracy. Our customers will deliver better products to market, faster. Moldex3D is committed to leveraging the cutting-edge high-performance computing technology in our 3D solvers. GPU computing offers us a very promising direction for future products.”
