Moldflow CAD Doctor 3.0 and Moldflow Magics STL Expert 3.0 are new versions of CAD connectivity tools designed for the plastics injection molding industry from the Moldflow Corporation (Framingham, MA).
The CAD Doctor 3.0 checks and corrects solid models imported from popular 3D CAD systems in preparation for analysis using Moldflow Plastics Advisers (MPA) or Moldflow Plastics Insight (MPI) software. Users can reduce analysis times by performing model cleanup and reducing the overall mesh size.
The Magics STL Expert 3.0 converts IGES and 3D CAD solid models to the STL file format. It allows users to locate errors within the STL model, fix the errors with editing tools, and export a high-quality analysis model for use with MPA or MPI. New features in the 3.0 version include a new workflow process, an enhanced wizard, faster mesh repair, and better memory management.
