MSC Software Corporation has released MaterialCenter 2015. The platform is an out-of-the-box material process and data lifecycle management solution with integration into CAE applications.

Material model support enables users to generate CAE models with popular solvers directly from MaterialCenter. Support is available for Nastran, Marc, ANSYS, Abaqus and LS-DYNA.

Direct integration for CAE pre- and post-processing tools has been added for Patran 2010-14, SimXpert 2012-13, Marc Mentat 2012-15 and ANSA 15. This integration, according to the company, offers direct support to retrieve model material from MaterialCenter.

For process management capabilities, MaterialCenter 2015 has integrated third-party tools such as MATLAB, Python and Java to automatically capture engineering design values for analysis. Test methods and standards can be dated for traceability across various material processes.

Other features added in version 2015 include an enhanced Work Request function, a Web-based Material Editor and advanced 2D plotting capabilities.
