MSC.Software Corp. (Santa Ana, CA) has released of MD Adams, the newestmember of the company's MD (multi-discipline) Solutions suite ofintegrated multi-disciplinary simulation solutions for enterprise-widedeployment. MD Adams extends the suite's system simulation capabilitiesby enabling you to build and test virtual prototypes that visually andmathematically simulate the full-motion behavior of complex mechanicalsystem designs. Additionally, the new MD Adams/Car Mechatronics moduleis a tailored group of mechatronic subsystem simulation solutions ofinterest to automotive OEMs and suppliers.

MD Adams brings the MD Solutions suite such tools as componentflexibility, active control systems, and frequency response prediction.Of note is its bidirectional integration with MD Nastran, which enablesyou to obtain detailed MD Nastran NVH analyses from validated MD Adamsvehicle models. MSC adds that MD Adams/Car Mechatronics's new controlsystem components and signal manager make easy to incorporate andmanage active control systems in complex mechanical systems.

The MD Adams package in made up of the full set of Adams extensionmodules including Adams/Controls, Adams/Durability, Adams/Flex, andAdams/Vibration. The MD Adams/Car package contains such modules forvehicle design and analysis as Adams/Car, Adams/Car Ride,Adams/Chassis, Adams/Driveline, Adams/SmartDriver, Adams/Tire, andAdams/3D Road.
