NAFEMS (the National Agency for Finite Element Methods and Standards) is hosting its 2012 North America Conference in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 11 and 12. The conference will bring together the leading visionaries, developers, and practitioners of computer aided engineering-related technologies and business processes.

Entitled “Engineering Simulation: A 2020 Vision of the Future,” the conference will provide attendees with insightful content and perspective on how they can position their organization and realize the potential of CAE.

The conference will include keynote speakers, exhibits, and breakout sessions exploring the commercial impact of CAE investments,  innovations in simulation technology, engineering simulation processes,  human issues, and futuristic considerations.

On Sept. 10, NAFEMS will also present a series of sampler courses. Each of the courses offered will provide an introduction to the topic area and are shortened versions of courses offered by NAFEMS training. Courses will cover a wide range of topics including FEA and CFD.

The event is open to both members and non-members of NAFEMS. Members with sufficient seminar credits may be able to attend this event for free.
