Elite Software (Bryan-College Station, TX) has released a new program for sizing and analyzing HVAC duct systems called Manual D Ductsize (MDD). The program is based on ACCA's Manual D procedures and analyzes both supply and return duct systems.

A built-in fitting selector displays ACCA duct fittings. Optimal duct sizes can be calculated for both round and rectangular duct sizes, and the software accounts for many types of duct materials.  MDD produces drawings as well as duct sizing reports.

The MDD program, priced at $349, requires Elite Software's RHVAC load calculation program and Drawing Board CAD software. For more information, visit elitesoft.com.
