NextComputing has enhanced the dust and debris filtration system on the Vigor Evo HD system.
Designed to perform in the driest desert environments, the Dust Filtration System (DFS) helps eliminate the problems inherent to using computers in the field. Fine particle dust can infiltrate and coat every component of a computer if not protected adequately. NextComputing’s DFS significantly reduces the penetration of fine dust into the system, protecting vital components from erosion, according to the company. The architecture of the Vigor Evo HD provides adequate airflow to cool the system and prevent overheating, allowing the DFS to work optimally.
NextComputing’s DFS features side and bottom dust filters with easily removable covers for left and right side IO panels and removable brush material inside the panel to filter air flow while allowing cables to egress. The system is operational when both side panels are attached. The filter is washable and reusable, and the design of the filtration system allows for upgrading to a new filter and configuration changes as needed.
The Evo HD’s floating chassis design provides shock resistance and absorption, and rubber bumpers along every corner provide another layer of protection. Vigor Evo HD systems are equipped with up to 2 quad-core Intel Xeon processors, up to 5TB of storage, and up to 3 PCI Express slots with an additional PCIx slot for graphical and other IO requirements.
