3D Systems Sinterstation Pro SLS System.

3D Systems Corporation (Rock Hill, SC: ), a provider of 3D modeling, rapid prototyping and manufacturing solutions, announced that Nihon Weed of Tokyo, Japan, purchased a Sinterstation Pro 230 SLS (selective laser sintering) system to meet increasing customer demand for functional, durable automotive parts. Nihon Weed previously purchased a 3D Systems’ SLA 7000 system.

The Sinterstation Pro 230 SLS System transforms computer-aided design (CAD) data into ready-to-use, three-dimensional plastic parts. With this system, Nihon Weed can deliver injection-molded quality, end-use parts built from the toughest available plastics.

3D Systems’ systems and materials create actual parts directly from digital input. These solutions are used for design communication and prototyping as well as for production of functional end-use parts.

Nihon Weedis a service provider for rapid product development of working prototypes with rapid prototyping and manufacturing solutions. It specializes in selective laser sintering and vacuum casting for the automotive industry.
