Noran Engineering, Inc. (NEi; Westminster, CA), the developer and supplier of Nastran FEA software, has reached a licensing agreement with SolidWorks Corporation (Concord, MA) for the use of its solid modeling engine.

The solid modeling engine will underlie a CAD-neutral Nastran engineering analysis and simulation software product called NEi FEA that is created specifically for design engineers who require Nastran-based FEA.

The combination of SolidWorks and Nastran extends the market for Nastran FEA software to smaller business entities and individual design engineers. For more information, visit nenastran.com.
