NPower Software(San Diego, CA), a division of Integrityware, Inc., released PowerNURBS 1.0, a modeling kernel that provides 3ds max and Viz 3Dvisualization solution users with a suite of advanced surfacing andsolids tools.

Power NURBS, says Npower, is like combining a high-end surface modelerand a high-end solids modeler with the superior animation and renderingof Autodesk 3ds max. Really a hybrid modeling platform based onIntegrityware's Solids ++ Kernel, Power NURBS brings high-ordersurfacing, analysis, and tessellation technologies to 3ds max and Viz.It provides advanced solids modeling tools normally found only inhigh-end CAD systems and advanced surface modeling tools likehigh-continuity blending, multirail sweeps, and high-continuity class-Asurfaces normally available only in expensive surface modeling software.

Power NURBS's hybrid modeling paradigm is said to increase flexibilityfor building complex concepts, and its surfacing algorithms, says thecompany, meet the exacting standards of the automotive and aerospaceindustries. It also offers Intelligent Objects that retain theirparameters and update automatically through design revisions. Advancedtangency controls give you interactive feedback and greater controlover surface properties.
