PrismTech Releases Vortex v1.2

The platform has support for the latest Java 5 SPM, selective routing and constrained embedded devices.

PrismTech, a provider of software platform for distributed systems, has released Vortex v1.2. The data-sharing platform for the Internet of Things (IoT), according tot he company, provides the most comprehensive real-time data sharing solution for integrating device, Web, mobile and cloud environments.

The platform is ideal for the Industrial IoT ad based on the data distribution service (DDS) for real-time systems. New features in version 1.2 include:

  • Vortex OpenSplice 6.5, which adds support for the latest Java 5 PSM, a Streams API (application programming interface) for ISO C++ and overall performance improvements.
  • Vortex Cloud 1.2 that offers selective routing that enables users to control what Topic data is shared across the cloud.
  • Vortex Insight 1.1 gives support for system browser sorting/filtering and inclusion of a new Vortex Cloud instance browser.
  • Vortex Lite 1.0, a new footprint DDS implementation targeting resource for constrained embedded devices.
