Professional Systems Associates (PSA) has announced that two new features have been added to its CMPRO product lifecycle management (PLM) software: Reviews and Checklists. Reviews and Checklists are now available on all workflow documents in CMPRO, providing users with more tools for collaboration and process improvement.

The Reviews feature in CMPRO provides a formalized process for reviewing workflow documents and repository items (documents, drawings, or software). This feature allows users to provide responses as part of a workflow item's review process, as well as response resolution data. Review and response data can be compiled as summary reports in tabular and graphical formats and can be included when printing workflow documents via standard printing options.  Users can also be required to report on the time spent on review actions.

Checklists give greater functionality to the workflow process by providing CMPRO users with customizable lists of items that should be accomplished prior to a workflow document moving forward (or backward, if necessary) in the workflow route process. Checklists have a hierarchical structure that allows items to be efficiently organized into related groups or sections relevant to a given step in the workflow. Up to five checklists can be included for a document at any step in the workflow route.
