August 31, 2007 – UGS PLM Software (Plano, TX) today announced the immediate availability of new releases of two of its D-Cubed component software products: Version 52.0 of 2D Dimensional Constraint Manager (2D DCM) and Profile Geometry Manager (PGM).

New enhancements to 2D DCM, the software component that controls 2D parametric sketches in 2D and 3D design environments, include a new functional solving option for spline curves, an integration and performance enhancement in thread safety, and an integration enhancement in development environment extensions.

The integration enhancements for PGM include improved interaction with the 2D DCM, additional verification of application input data, and development environment extensions as well. Find more detailed descriptions of the enhancements at UGS PLM online.

This release offers the addition of support for 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista, Linux Suse v10, Linux Red Hat Enterprise 5 and the Intel 32-bit processor version of Mac OS X. The D-Cubed components are integrated into a wide range of applications, making them available for a wide range of application development environments that are continually being extended to keep pace with customer requirements.
